Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Is Aware of Fans' Season 2 Bingo Cards — And She Has Positive Updates

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been intense.

Season 1 presents a large cast of personalities living within the afterlife, pits them against each other with songs detailing their conflicts, and builds heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 differ greatly, but certain threads emerge over and over: Could a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with fan service specifically in mind," the creator commented earlier this year. "However I feel like me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That might mean fans have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how quickly season 2 moves, and how many of what they're waiting for happens this season.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some really amazing disclosures, some really cool backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — particularly in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a few fans make a bingo card about season 2," she mentions. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've actually done some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on the streaming service on October 29.
